FAYETTEVILLE — James B. Wright, 85, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, in Springdale, Ark. He was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Kingston, Ark., to Joseph Burton Wright and Willa (Dorsey) Wright.

He retired after 43 years with Shipley Baking Company, attended Buckner Baptist Church, and was the caretaker for Buckner Cemetery for 38 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Angie Lee Wright, daughter Judy Ann Wright, and two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Connie Fisher (Joe) of Springdale, Ark.; son Wayne Wright (Elisha) of Rogers, Ark.; four grandchildren, Gail Farris of Greenbrier, Ark., Julie McMiller of Oklahoma City, Okla., Shawn Fisher of Springdale, Ark., Heather Wright of Rogers, Ark., and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 14 at Buckner Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Jewell and Pastor Larry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Buckner Cemetery in Fayetteville. Memorial contributions may be made to Buckner Cemetery, 3758 E. Huntsville Road, Fayetteville, Ark., 72701. Angie Lee Jones Wright, 71, of Fayetteville died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at Springdale. She was born Sept. 15, 1933, in Dripping Springs, the daughter of Harlie and Lugunia Williams Jones. She was a homemaker and attended Buckner Baptist Church faithfully for 50 years.

Mrs. Wright was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family and friends and lived to serve them and be a witness for the Lord. She loved to cook, sew and traveled many miles to support her grandchildren's activities.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Ann Wright; her father, Harlie L. Jones; and one sister, Barbara Bowerman.

She is survived by her husband of almost 53 years, James "Jim" Wright of Fayetteville; one daughter, Connie Jo Fisher and her husband Joe of Springdale; one son, Wayne Jones Wright and his wife Elisha of Lowell; four grandchildren, Gail Farris and her husband Robbie of Conway, Julie Fisher of Shawnee, Okla., Shawn Fisher of Springdale and Heather Wright of Lowell; three great-grandchildren, Austin, Olivia and Audrey. She is also survived by her mother, Lugunia Jones of Huntsville, five brothers, Bob Jones of Fayetteville, Bill Jones of Forum, Wendell Jones of Inola, James Jones of Huntsville and Denzil Jones of Tulsa, Okla.; and her sister, Wanda Drake of Huntsville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 22 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, with family receiving friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 23, at Buckner Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Mitchell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mike Jones, Scott Jones, Brian Jones, Will Jones, Nick Jones, Kendall Drake, Don Lieberenz and Bobby Rex Maggard.

Honorary pallbearer will be Shawn Fisher. Burial will be in Buckner Cemetery.
