Juanita Cantwell Carrico, daughter of the late Jeston Cantwell and Lona Torrence Cantwell, was born January 29, 1927 in Norfork, Arkansas. She departed this life on August 11, 2011 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 13 days. She was united in marriage to Lowell Carrico on March 25, 1943 in Calico Rock, Arkansas. After a divorce and several years apart, they remarried on February 17, 1977 at Rogersville, Missouri. She spent her working years in Kansas City, Missouri in the Shipping and Receiving Department at L-U-C-E Manufacturing. She also worked at Rothschilds Department Store in the Purchasing Department before taking early medical retirement and returning to Calico Rock in 1982.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law: Randy and Judy Carrico of Smithville, Missouri and Bruce Taylor of Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends: Willene and Jack Grimmett of Oxford, Shirley Cunningham of Oxford and Lavon Wallis of Calico Rock; a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands: Lowell Carrico and Russell Taylor; one daughter: Judy Dunaway; one brother: Rayburn Cantwell and one sister: Inez Pitre.
Funeral service will be Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 12 noon at the Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Gale Wooten officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be Friday, August 12 from 7:30- 9 p.m.
Pallbearers: Aaron Teague, Bill Dechennem, Bill Wilburn, Gregg Troyer, Stephen Ramirez and Jade Brewer. Honorary Pallbearers: J. C. Wallis and Jack Grimmett.
