Clyda Elmeda Johnston, 94, of Mount Vernon, died February 24, 2008 at Conway Regional Hospital.
Born March 13, 1913, in Mount Vernon, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Frank and Cynthia Spradlin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Thomas Spencer Johnston, one great-grandson Clint Wendell, five brothers and one sister.
Survivors are two daughters, Edith Johnson (Royce) of Mt. Vernon; Pat Nolen (Jerry) of Mt. Vernon; two sons; Floyd (Viola) , Shelby Johnston (Carrel Ann) both of Mt. Vernon; one sister Nora Bell Yancey of Mt. Vernon. 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
