CHASTAIN, Mary - {from New Hope) Quincy Chastain was called to Bentonville on Saturday by the illness of his mother, Mrs. Mary Chastain. She was thought to be somewhat improved. On Monday between 11 and 12 o'clock Mr. Chastain went to a drug store to get her some medicine. He helped her to bed before he went as she had been sitting up most of the morning. He was gone probably fifteen minutes and when he returned she had passed away, having apparently not moved after he went out. It was a great shock to him although she was almost 85 years old. She had been a resident of Benton county for some 40 or 50 years, having moved here from Kentucky. Her funeral will be held today at the Baptist church in Bentonville with interment at the Temperance Hill cemetery, southwest of Bentonville.
