SEBASTIAN, Fla. — Frances Presley Allen, 82, of Sebastian, Fla., formerly of Batesville, died Friday, June 16, 2006, in Palm Bay, Fla. Born Jan. 28, 1924, in Batesville, she was the daughter of Eugene and Jessie McClendon Presley. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Desha and the Eastern Star and a past member of Buttons and Bows. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She made quilts for everyone in her family and won awards for her quilts at the Independence County Fair in Batesville. Survivors include a son, Donald T. Allen of Placentia, Calif.; two daughters, Phyllis McCullers of Sebastian and Rebecca Kelly of Palm Bay; a brother, Raymond Presley of Cave City; three sisters, Lenell Harmon and Nona Jeffery, both of Desha, and Rhoda Dutton of Collierville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Nathan Allen, Bryan Allen and Jordan Allen, all of Placentia, Scott McCullers and John McCullers, both of Sebastian, Heidi Krasnick of Melbourne Beach, Fla., and Heather Ecker and Holly Tiegen, both of Seattle; a great-grandchild, Hayden Krasnick; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David M. Allen; a daughter, Barbara Allen Rabon; and three brothers, Mac Presley, Harold Presley and Robert Presley.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial will be in Alderbrook Cemetery in Desha. Batesville Guard
