Clara Hodges, 87,
lifetime resident

Mrs. Clara Ann Hodges, 87, of Lakeview, a lifetime resident of this county, died Friday at a Calico Rock hospital. She was a Baptist, and the widow of William Henry Hodges.

The daughter of John C. Farris and Ada Cranfill Farris, Mrs. Hodges was born Dec. 20, 1883, in Baxter County. She had been widowed since Oct. 18, 1961.

Survivors include five sons, Otto and Virgil of Lakeview, Don of Midway, Floyd of Yuba City, Calif., and Albert of Hawthorne, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Reynolds of Yuba City; two brothers, Nathan Farris of Mountain Home and James Farris of Clarkridge; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Jung of Mountain Home and Mrs. Edith Marler of Holdenville, Okla.; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted Sunday at the Pleasant Flat Church of Lakeview with Rev. Paul Jones of Marshall officiating. Interment was in the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, west of here, under the direction of the McClure-Smith Service.

Pallbearers were Guy, Gordon, Alvin, Melton J., Henry and Leonard Hodges.
