Wayne Garner, 70, of Sage passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at White River Medical Center.
He was born on April 26, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant and was the son of Boyd Garner and Mildred Qualls Garner. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School; loved baseball and was a lifelong fan of the Atlanta Braves. Mr. Garner played baseball for an organized team in Batesville, "The Big Dutchmen." He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a lifelong horseman. He was a member of the Sage Baptist Church.
Survivors include 2 sons: Gary Garner of Sage and Phillip Garner of Sage; 2 daughters: Lynn Fowler of Ash Flat and Michelle Grady of Bentonville; 1 brother, Larry Michael Garner of Sage, and 1 sister, Doris Mynatt of Sidney. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, Leslie Haney of Melbourne, Luke Haney of Melbourne, Joe Fowler of Salem, Kevin Fowler of Salem, Jordan Grady of Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Hanna Grady of Bentonville, Hayden Grady of Bentonville, Josh Garner of Conway, Matt Garner of Sage, and Chelsea Kern of Blue Springs, Missouri. Other survivors include his Ex-wife, Louise Garner and special friends: Ronald & Tammy Moser, who Wayne considered, family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Benny Mynatt, Billy Mynatt, Danny Mynatt, Karl Garner, Brian Carter, Steve Davidson, Will Davidson and Jimmy Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be Ervin Ray Dover, Kenneth Sheffield, Doyne Langston, J. W. Morrow, Lawrence Page, Joe Baker, Gene Kimble, Dewey Love, Marshall Shaw and J.P. Davidson.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Sage Baptist Church with Brother Alvin Wiles officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Burial will be at Caney Springs Cemetery in Sage under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.

Wanda "Louise" Garner, 71 of Sage passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Pioneer Nursing Home in Melbourne.
She was born on Saturday, November 4, 1933 in Sage; the daughter of the late James Lois Wren and Velma (Cooper) Wren.
Louise lived for her family especially her kids and grandkids and she was a horse show mom who never missed taking them to the horse shows. She was an avid bingo player and Chicago Cubs and Washington Mariners baseball fan. Louise had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a nursing home and even if she felt bad, she always took pride in her work.
She was a member of the Melbourne Church of Christ.
Surviving Louise are her two sons, Gary Garner and Phillip Garner both of Sage; her two daughters, Michelle Grady of Sage and Lynn Fowler and her husband, Larry of Ash Flat. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Josh Garner, Matt Garner, Jordan Grady, Hanna Grady, Hayden Grady, Leslie Ross and her husband, Marty, Luke Haney, Joe Fowler and Kevin Fowler. Her two brothers, Max Wren and Rex Wren both of Wenatchee, Washington and her sister, Mary Sims, of Wenatchee, Washington also survive her.
Other survivors include her sisters-in-law, Shirley Wren and Ruth Wren also of Wenatchee.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2005 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Melbourne with Chuck Crow officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday.
Interment will be at Caney Springs Cemetery in Sage under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
