Venita Mae Felstad, 84
SALEM--Venita Mae Felstad, 84, of Salem, daughter of the late Roy Georgeman and Ida Mae Sutterfield Tilley, was born Feb. 18, 1923, in Big Flat. She died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Salem.
Venita worked as an apartment complex and hotel manager. She was of the Missionary Baptist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Virgie Cotter of Viola and Pam Crisco of Kansas City, Mo.; five brothers, Chester, Doyle, Don, O.D., and Junior Tilley, all of Mountain Home; two sisters, Rosie Lee Lewis of Mountain Home and Linda Sue Castro of Omaha, Neb.; two grandchildren, Lisa Neal and Karen Cotter; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Alex Neal; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bobby Gene Gibson; two brothers, Lonnie and Bennie Tilley; and three sisters, Reba Cotter and two infants.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at East Oakland Cemetery in Mountain Home, with burial following under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem. The body will lie in state from noon-4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to East Oakland Cemetery Association.
