Mrs. Lois Tausch, 75, of Mountain Home passed away Monday, October 30, 2006 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. She was born to Archiebald and Florence Wiemer Smith on July 19, 1931 in Chicago, IL, and married Walter Paul Tausch on March 26, 1949 in Chicago. Lois was a devoted and loving wife. She was a marvelous hostess of excellent dinner parties. As an avid animal lover, she served on the Board of Directors of the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas and was an antique appraiser in their thrift shop. She was an antique dealer and owned her own business in Chicago. Lois volunteered at Baxter Regional Medical Center and was a member of the Mountain Home Elks Lodge BPOE No. 1714, and attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. She is survived by her husband, Walter of the home.
