FLETCHER, Jesse L. - (from Baldwin) We attended the funeral yesterday of Uncle Jesse Fletcher who, after a lingering illness and much suffering, peacefully fell asleep in Jesus on Saturday at 3 p.m. and was laid to rest by the side of his wife in the Hester cemetery Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. He had lived a long and useful life and was a consistent member of the Baptist Church for many years. Always kind and generous to the needy, doing what he could to help the unfortunate. Peace to his slumbers.

(from The Fayetteville News) Jesse L. Fletcher, aged 82, died Saturday at his home on Middle Fork, of paralysis. The remains were interred yesterday at Hester. His wife died exactly six months, to a day, before.
