Earnest
1894 - 1971
Thomas Earnest was the 4th child of 11 born to Hamilton Mae and Nannie Elizabeth Gray Gore. He was born and raised in Dilworth, AR, east of Horatio. He married Mamie Bogan on Dec. 21, 1919. Mamie was born Oct. 31, 1898. Mamie and there only son died Oct. 21, 1920. They are buried together in Millwee Cemetery, Sevier Cty., AR.
Earnest then married Madie Ozella Traywick on Sept. 23, 1922. They had 2 children-- Earnest Leon and Eva Louise (Gore) Wester.
Madie
August 19, 1895 - 1960
Born near Horatio, AR to John Franklin Traywick and Emma L. Teasley Traywick. Madie died at the age of 65 in DeQueen, AR.
Married Earnest Gore and lived in the Walnut Springs and Dilworth areas all her married life. I was only 10 when she died, but I remember that she always had a piece of juicy fruit chewing gum for the grandkids and a yard full of flowers. Every Sunday morning she would cut a fresh bouquet of flowers and take them to the Dillworth church long before services started. She was the best cook in the world and we all loved her dearly.
