Wife of H L Jarratt
Mrs. Mary Higgason Jarrett [sic Jarratt], 71, widow of H. L. Jarrett [sic Jarratt], died Sunday at her home in Jersey. A daughter of W. L. and Naomi Jane Lee Higgason, she was born in Bradley county September 8, 1875. She was a member of the Jersey Baptist church. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Nora Witherington of Arkadelphia, Mrs. Lou Wilson of Hampton, Mrs. Zora Martin of Dumas; one brother, J. W. Higgason of Jersey. Services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the Shady Grove cemetery at Jersey. Rev. Gordon Reddin officiated and was assisted by Rev. H. A. Bearden. Pall bearers were Bo King, Ralph Taylor, John Fletcher Smith, Carroll Smith, Willie Reynolds, Carroll Gates. Published in a local newspaper, March 10, 1947
