INGALLS — W.B. Hargis Jr., 87, of Ingalls, died Friday at Arkansas Heart Hospital. He was born July 31, 1918, in the Eagle Lake Community in Bradley County, a son of the late Watt Bennett Hargis and Minnie Elizabeth Colvin Hargis. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a retired farmer, logger and cattleman. He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 9, 2003, Vaughnie Norris, whom he married Aug. 9, 1947, at Hermitage; one son, Mickey Dale Hargis; and three sisters, Ouida Hall, Emma Jo Gates and Ila Mae Hickman. Survivors include one grandchild. Funeral services will be Monday at Frazer's Funeral Home at Warren. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls. -- from the Pine Bluff Commercial, dated Sunday, January 15, 2006
