And of his wife,
Rose Carole Clark
December 28, 1944 - January 2, 2024

Rose “Carole” Phillips Clark, 79, of Henderson, peacefully passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in Maumelle, Arkansas.

Rose Carole was born in Portia, Arkansas, on December 28, 1944, to Clyde Wayland and Ada Marie Phillips. She was the fourth of five children and was preceded in death by her siblings Richard Phillips, Iris Summit, Mary Holder, and Kathy Hill.

At just five years old, Rose Carole met the love of her life who happened to be her neighbor, Billy Ray Clark. They later married on February 28, 1964. Having known each other their whole lives, no one could pester and get under her skin quite like Bill Clark and it was a sight to behold! She loved every minute of their bantering and shenanigans. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, and “nana”. Bill and Rose Carole raised their son, Mark, in Walnut Ridge. They moved to their lake house in Henderson about 20 years ago.

Rose Carole adored her family and friends. It gave her great joy to share her childlike love for the holidays, especially Christmas and 4th of July. In her younger years, she put on a Christmas display like no other and people would drive from miles around to see it. She played music and would even invite people inside for hot cocoa (her mother’s recipes) if they showed extra interest. She was an avid collector of Christmas decor and dolls. She passed along her passion for the outdoors, watersports, and building things to her son and grandsons.

She entered the heavenly gates to be greeted by her parents, her husband, her four siblings, and her newborn twin sons that were born 18 months prior to Mark. There is undoubtedly a glorious celebration as she is reunited with her family.

She is survived by greatest joy, her son, Mark Clark of North Little Rock, and grandsons, Brantley and Hudson Clark. She cherished special relationships with her nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Rose Carole cherished her family and had a contagious zest for life. She was an outspoken visionary and when she couldn’t get Bill to “build” her vision, she was known to tackle the challenge herself. She loved flashy cars, clothes, and bling! She enjoyed being outdoors and making things “pretty” whether that be inside or outside of her home. She had a strong faith, was a devout Christian, a wonderful cook, and a committed caregiver and encourager to all who were blessed to know her.

A graveside service will be held at the Park Cemetery near Annieville, 676 Lawrence Rd, Imboden, AR 72434, on Friday, January 5th, at 1:00 p.m. Services will be provided by the Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Baptist Hospice, Dementia Care, or Alzheimer’s Association.
