Died September 8, 1976, Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkansas.
Son of Chales Cam Torrance & Mary Jane Talley Torrance.
Married Alice Bell Arnold, March 13, 1905.

Joseph W. Torrance, 98, of Norfork died Sunday at Baxter General Hospital. He was a retired carpenter and a lifetime Norfork resident.
Mr. Torrance was born on Jan 4, 1878, in Fulton County to the late Cam and Mary Jane Talley Torrance. His wife, Alice Arnold Torrance, preceded him in death.
Surviving are two sons, Rudolph Torrance of Norfork and Charlie Torrance of Mt. Home; two daughters, Myrtle Barker of Kansas, OK, and Myram Inskeep of Route 3 Mt. Home; 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at the Norfork Baptist Church. Rev. John Evans and Rev. Paul Huskey officiated. The pallbearers were Dwight Inskeep, Sammy Beck, Earnest Parnell, Delman Parnell, Ronny Parnell and Winfred Partee. Interment took place at the Galatia Cemetery near Norfork, AR.
