Ruth Whitmire, 94 of Walnut Ridge, died Sunday August 18, 2019 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.
She was born December 30, 1924 in Hoxie, AR to Bill Kissee and Pearl Hutsell Kissee. She was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bruce Whitmire; son, Jerry Whitmire; grandsons, David & Bobby Whitmire; brothers Neal Kissee & J. W. Kissee; sisters, Katherine Burley, Merl Dean Blackburn; and son in law, Larry Hibbard.
She is survived by her daughter, Ramona Hibbard of Portia; grandsons, Terry (Carrol) Hibbard & Adam Whitmire both of Jonesboro; granddaughter, Sondra Stanphil of Georgia; great grandchildren, Hailey, Garrison, Harleigh, & Cooper; brothers, Phil (Connie) Kissee of Walnut Ridge & Bobby (Sandy) Kissee of Illinois; sisters, JoAnn Ehrman of Mountain Home & Alice (Wiley) Anglin of Hoxie; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation is Wednesday August 21, 2019 from 9:30AM - 11:00AM at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00AM in the House-Gregg Funeral Chapel with Robert Davis and Seth Parnell officiating.
Interment will be in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge, under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge & Lynn, Arkansas.
