Mrs. Hattie W. Reid, age 63, wife of former, the Rev. W. J. Walthall died in a Pine Bluff hospital this morning, Mrs. Reid was born and reared in Ouachita county but had lived in Russellville for two years moving back to Camden six months ago. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She is survived by four step children, Leonard Reid, Bakersfield, Calif.; Mrs. Dorothy Peterson, Chicago, Illinois; Donald and Jack Reid both of Memphis, Tenn; three sisters, Mrs. T. Q. Turner, Camden; Mrs. W. C. Turner, Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Mattie Sessions, St. Louis Missouri; three brothers C. B. Vaughan, Fordyce; D. N. Vaughan, Shreveport; J. A. Vaughan, Malvern. Funeral services will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Camden at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, conducted by the Rev. A. W. Tanner, assisted by the Rev. J. B. Lindsey of Russellville and the Rev. David Burris of Hot Springs. The body will lie in state at Proctors chapel until funeral time. Active pallbearers: A. M. Nichols, Luther Arnold, H. C. Davis, Joe Helton, Leon Davis and Luther Greene, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Assembly of God ministers. (Camden News - August 3, 1949)
