Deborah Ann ''Debbie'' McFarland Dearen, age 71 of Roland, AR passed away on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at home surrounded by her family and friends. Debbie loved to travel and deep-sea fish but the thing she loved most in the world were her 7 grandchildren who she adored and they adored their Nanny; Dalton, Ki, Eli, Westyn, Hailey, Ethan and Colton. Nanny kept all of them frequently while they were young and therefore, she ate more than her share of Luby's, ''The Chop Chop Man'' and delivery pizza. In addition to these, she had a slew of other children that she considered her Grandchildren that she loved, everybody loved Nanny Bunny.
Debbie is the daughter of Joyce and the late Charles McFarland of San Antonio. Debbie was a wonderful mother of 3 children, Mindy (Tony) DeMarco of Maumelle, Dennis Dearen Jr of Shirley, and Kristi (Randy) Boyles of Roland. She also has 6 siblings; 2 brothers, Terry McFarland and Billy Sisco, and 4 sisters; Sherri Dulaney, Lindy McFarland, Michele Russo and Valerie Sullivan. She also had many loved Nieces and Nephews. At the age of 42, Debbie went to Arkansas State University and graduated then became a traveling RN. Her job as an Oncology/Med-Surg Nurse took her all over the country where she made many dear friends. Debbie had a fierce will to live, stronger than most. She was also known for her huge generous heart. It was not uncommon for Debbie to give items away when people complemented her on them, once she gave away her car.
Graveside service will be Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 2pm at Spring Valley Cemetery on Kanis Road in Ferndale, AR. Debbie had a special request that people do not wear black to her service. She preferred that people wear bright colors, a shout out to her colorful personality. The ceremony will be webcast on Debbie's Facebook page through Facebook Live.
