June Garrett, 83, of Dardanelle, AR, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle, AR. The daughter of Frank and Kate Pockrus Faulkner, she was born September 6, 1931 in Dardanelle, AR. She married Phillip T. Garrett, on October 7, 1950. June was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, playing Pitch and Rummy. June was a wonderful mother and grandmother spending much of her time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Scott Garrett; twin brother, Junior Faulkner; brother, Jack Faulkner; two sisters, Lucy Geurian, Nora Gleason.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years Phillip T. Garrett; three children, Vandalyn K. Hernandez (Jose L.) of Dardanelle, Ronald E. Garrett of Dardanelle, Don Garrett (Karen) of San Bernardino, CA; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Garrett of Apple Valley, CA; 10 grandchildren, Christy Brummell of Jacksonville, NC, Ricky Hernandez of Russellville, Phillip & Tony Hernandez of Dardanelle, Norman and Marie Garrett both of Missoula, MT, Nicole Sorensen (Troy) of San Bernardino, CA, Morgan Garrett of San Bernardino, CA, Johanna Federwisch (Jonathan) of Apple Valley, CA; 7 great grandchildren, Zach Brummell (Elise)of Clovis, NM, Haley Brummell of Gracemont, OK, Garrett & Gavin Sorensen of San Bernardino, CA, Harper Garrett of Missoula, MT, Jonah & Joselyn Federwisch of Apple Valley, CA.


Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church in Dardanelle. Pastor Paul Farnam will officiate. Burial will be at 3:00PM Tuesday at Spring Valley Cemetery in Ferndale, Arkansas by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Monday, at the funeral home.

Phillip Garrett, 85, of Dardanelle, AR, died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle, AR. The son of Mason and Olivia May Grimmett Garrett, he was born January 28, 1930 in Little Rock, AR.

He was a Lab Worker with Riverside Cement at their plant in Oro Grande, California. After his retirement he moved back to Arkansas and bought a farm, where He enjoyed raising cows and border collies especially Jake, Jenny, and Jody.

Phillip was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Dardanelle. Phillip was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nellie June Garrett his parents; one son, Anthony Scott Garrett; seven brothers and three sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Vandalyn K. Hernandez (Jose L.) of Dardanelle, Ronald E. Garrett of Dardanelle, Don Garrett (Karen)of San Bernardino, CA; 10 grandchildren, Christy Brummell of Dardanelle, Ricky Hernandez of Russellville, Phillip Hernandez of Dardanelle, Tony Hernandez of Dardanelle, Norman Garrett of Missoula, MT, Marie Garrett of Missoula, MT, Nicole Sorensen (Troy)of San Bernardino, CA, Morgan Garrett of San Bernardino, CA, Johanna Federwisch (Johathan) of Apple Valley, CA, daughter-in-law, Yvonne Garrett of Apple Valley, CA; seven great-grandchildren Zach Brummell (Elise) of Clovis, NM, Haley Brummell of Gracemont, OK, Garrett and Gavin Sorensen of San Bernardino, CA; Harper Garrett of Missoula, MT, Johnah and Joselyn Federwisch of Apple Valley, CA.

Burial will be 3:00PM at Spring Valley Cemetery in Ferndale, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Friday, at the funeral home.

Active Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ricky Hernandez, Phillip Hernandez, Tony Hernandez, Norman Garrett, Morgan Garrett.
