Rosemarie Estelle Schmid, 84, resident of The Forum, The Woodlands, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2012 from respiratory complications. Before moving to Texas 4 years ago, Estelle was a 30 year resident of El Dorado, AR.
She was born in Montclair, New Jersey, on October 13, 1927, where Estelle graduated from Upsala Women’s College. She was married to Jack T. Schmid, Sr. in 1951.
Estelle was a homemaker while raising her 3 children and later taught elementary school in Orange Texas, and at Hugh Goodwin in El Dorado, AR.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Lincoln and Mae Schaefer; and her daughter, Kathy A. Schmid Weaver, who predeceased Estelle in 1984.
She is survived by her two sons, Jack T. (Tom) Schmid, Jr. and his wife, Karen L. Schmid; Kenneth L. Schmid, and his wife Marietta Schmid; and her sister, Myra Menti, residing in New Jersey. Estelle has four beautiful grandchildren, Sara N. Schmid (Nikki), Jessica A. Schmid, Ashley, Schmid, and Adam Schmid.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in El Dorado, AR under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Dr. Dan Loomis officiating.
