Mrs. Sydney Faye Pittman DuCharme, age 81, of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Friday, December 19, 2014, at Hillcrest Nursing and Rehab in Prescott. She was born March 9, 1933, in Prescott Arkansas to Fay and Sydney McLelland Pittman. She was the former Nevada County Treasurer and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Prescott. Mrs. DuCharme worked for the Nevada County Hospital and Library, also served as the Nevada County Tax Collector, she was a public servant to Nevada County for over 20 years. She was a member of the Democratic Committee for the State of Arkansas, former delegate for the Democratic National Committee for President Bill Clinton and served on the Arkansas Treasurers Association. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was an avid reader and loved to sew. Mrs. DuCharme was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Deborah Wilson. Mrs. DuCharme is survived by husband of 40 years, Delbert Du Charme of Prescott, daughters, Connie Cox and husband Mike of Camden, Arkansas and Kyla Chambless and husband Mike of Prescott, grandchildren, Emily Jackson and husband Eric of Prescott and Lauren Byrd of Prescott and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. DuCharme will be 3:00 to 5:00pm, Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, December 22, 2014, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating burial will follow in De Ann Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott, Eddie Brazzel, Director.
