Walter T. (Pete) Boyster was born December 19, 1926 in Bonanza, Arkansas, . He went to be with his Lord on October 29, 2007 in Fort Smith where he was surrounded by his family, nurses and nurses aides.
He was loved by everyone, and everyone loved to be around him. He was a truck driver for Farnam Lumber Company and Southside Lumber.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor and Emmer Boyster; sister, Velma Gish; five brothers, Otis, Wesley, Eugene, Dan and Billy Boyster. He is survived by his wife Betty Lou Boyster of Fort Smith; daughter, Judy Strawhacker of Rye Hill, and Alvena Campbell of Benton; three brothers, Amos Boyster of Fort Smith, Raymond Boyster of Bonanza and Arval Lee Boyster of Salina, CA; three grandchildren, Cyndi and Lessa Strawhacker of Rye Hill and Thomas Strawhacker of Hackett; one great granddaughter, several nieces, nephews and nurses and nurses aides at River Valley Health and Rehab. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith officiated by Reverend B.J. Thomas and Reverend Ronnie Patrick with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jim and Raymond Bruso, Donnie Bamburg, Joe Gish, Cyndi and Lessa Strawhacker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Elton Benton and Harold Geels.

Betty Lou Landers Boyster went to receive her reward in Heaven on Jan 29, 2013, she was born Sept 13, 1929 in Fort Smith to Hughler and Emma Landers.

She was a homemaker, & member of Northside United Pentecostal Church. For 38 years she taught the toddler class at her church where she made a difference in so many peoples life. She was the 2008 Queen of River Valley Health and Rehab in Fort Smith.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Hughler and Emma Landers, 3 sisters Thelma Bamburg, Mildred Neal, and Opal Bruso, and her wonderful husband of 59 years Walter (Pete) Boyster.

She is survived by 2 daughters Judy and her husband TC Clay Strawhacker of Rye Hill, and Alvena Campbell of Benton. 1 sister Viola Johnson of Memphis Tx, 3 grandchildren Cyndi and Lessa Strawhacker of Rye Hill, and Thomas Strawhacker and his wife Bobbie of Hackett, also 1 great grandchild Lea Ann Sappington of Hacket.

Funeral will be 10 am Jan 31st with burial at Woodlawn cemetry. Family will visit with friends Wed night from 5-7.
