Mrs. Ruth E. Ward, age 85 of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Sunday June 3, 2018 at Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott, Arkansas. She was born March 13, 1933 to Alex and Bertha Wise Clark. She was a retired administrative assistant for the Arkansas State Police, homemaker, a member of the Eastern Star, Prescott Garden Club and a member of First United Methodist Church of Prescott. Mrs. Ward is preceded in death by her parents and husband Dale Ward.

Survivors include; two sons, Ned Ward, wife Sherry, Nicky, wife Loretta both of Prescott, brother, Johnny Clark, wife Nancy of Little Rock, Arkansas, grandchildren, Jessie Bennett, husband Jason of White Hall, Arkansas, Casey Ward, wife Brooke of Little Rock, Arkansas, Chelsie Higgins, husband Jake of Benton, Arkansas, four great-grandchildren and also leaves behind her friend and caregiver, Ronda Adams.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First United Church of Prescott 125 West 2nd Prescott, Arkansas 71857

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Tuesday June 5, 2018 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Funeral service will be 10:00am, Wednesday June 6, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Prescott with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland and Rev. Sue Howe officiating with burial to follow in De Ann Cemetery in Prescott. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of BRAZZEL/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott, Eddie Brazzel Director.
