Mrs. Mary Johnson, age 77, of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, on Thursday, March 14, 2013 in Prescott. She was born October 2, 1935, in Sutton, Arkansas, to Alton Ray and Laura Elizabeth Garrett Murrah. She was a retired teacher and counselor and member of the Prescott Church of Christ. Mrs. Johnson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. She was an active member and Past President of the Prescott Lions Club, a member of DAR of Southwest Arkansas, a member of the Prescott Retired Teachers Association, a member of the Prescott Garden Club, and a member of the Prescott Church of Christ Ladies Bible Class. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband of 58 years, Curtis Lee Johnson, two sons, Tommy Johnson and wife Margie of Prescott, Tim Johnson and wife Holli of Benton, Arkansas, a daughter, Kathy Williams and husband Rick of Fort Smith, Arkansas, a brother, Buddy Murrah of Prescott, Arkansas, two sisters, Ann Flatte of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Marcia Schultz of Hot Springs, Arkansas, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous other family members and many friends. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 16, at Brazzel/Cornish the Funeral Home of Prescott. Funeral service for Mrs. Johnson will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 17, at the Prescott Church of Christ, Mr. Paul Robinson and Mr. Harley Sisson officiating. Burial to follow at DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott, Eddie Brazzel, Director.
