March 6, 1926 - October 4, 2009
Laland Booth Sr., 83, passed from this life Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at Methodist Nursing Home in Fort Smith. Mr. Booth was born March 6, 1926, to Lillian and William Booth of Jenny Lind.
He was a retired carpenter and painter who worked most of his life in the Fort Smith area. He also drove a truck for Campbell 66. Laland and his wife, Georgia, pastored two churches, Dora Assembly of God and East Paris Assembly of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Bill Booth; and his twin sister, who died at birth.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia of Fort Smith; one son, Laland Booth Jr. and wife, Barbara of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Lanette Faulkner and husband, Larry of Fort Smith; and three grandchildren, Marsha Faulkner of Fort Smith, Adam Booth of Jacksonville and Hallie Booth of Jacksonville.
Funeral service was at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Bobby Johnson officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers weree Gary Osborne, Dale Osborne, Mark Bowlin, Larry Faulkner, Adam Booth and Jim Stem.
Georgia
November 16, 1925 - September 5, 2010
Georgia Booth, 84, passed from this life September 5, 2010 at Methodist Nursing Home in Fort Smith.
Mrs. Booth was born November 16, 1925 in Panama, OK to Lela Mattie Mae and Jesse Taylor.
She was a homemaker and a member of Van Buren First Assembly of God .
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Laland Booth, Sr.
She is survived by one son, Laland Booth, Jr and wife Barbara of Jacksonville, FL; one daughter, Lanetta Faulkner and husband Larry of Fort Smith; one sister, Billie Cheek of Jennylind, AR; three grandchildren, Marsha Faulkner of Fort Smith, Adam Booth of Jacksonville, FL and Hallie Booth of Jacksonville, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Bobby Johnson officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Adam Booth, Larry Faulkner, Dale Osborne, Darrell Elliott, Jerry Osborne and Gerald Elliott.
