March 12, 1930 - April 3, 1996
James C. Beasley, 66, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, April 3, 1996 in his home. He was a self-employed accountant for Beasley Brothers Inc., a member of Cavanaugh Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher, an Army veteran, past president of the Optimist Club of Fort Smith and Fort Smith Jaycees and a member of the Toastmasters.
Funeral will be 10 a. m. April 6 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Carla Beasley of Van Buren and Melissa Rose of Clarksville, Tenn.; a son Greg of Fayetteville; and a sister, Eva Nell Beasley of Omaha, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Milton Minchew, Dr. Kemal Kutait, J. C. Vaughn, Warren Kimbrough, Bill Morris and Bob Turnipseed. Honarary pallbearers will be members of the Adult III Sunday School Class at Cavanaugh Missionary Baptist Church and members of the Fort Smith Optimist Club.

Barbara Ann Beasley, 71, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 in her home. She was born in Paris, Arkansas on July 5, 1943.
She was a beautician for 50 years and worked for years at Village Beauty Salon. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband James Beasley.
She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Rose and her husband Tim of Chantilly, VA; one sister, Ruth Gattis of Fort Smith, AR; one step-daughter, Carla Beasley of Bushkill, PA; one step-son, Greg Beasley of Fayetteville, AR and two grandchildren, Abigail and Joshua Rose of Chantilly, VA.
Funeral services will be at 10:00AM Monday, August 18, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Brent Summerhill officiating, burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Tim Rose, Allen Gattis, Nick Akins, Dewaine Summerhill, Tony White and Joe Wewers.
NOTE: Barbara was first married to Richard Dale Young. Her second marriage was to James C Beasley.
