Harold D. Bateman, 82, of Fort Smith, passed away December 17, 2014.
He was born November 30, 1932 in Tulsa, OK to the late Charles Freeman Bateman and Anna Hottel Bateman.

Harold was retired from ABF, and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War and he was an avid golfer and was a former minor league baseball player.

He was preceded in death by his son, Darryl Bateman; his daughter, Patti Bateman; and his brother, Ronald Bateman.

Harold was a loving husband and is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jo Bateman; a loving father to his daughter, Cheryl Price of Mansfield, TX and his son, Steve Bateman of Uniontown, AR; and a loving grandfather to his six grandchildren, Allie and Garrett Price, Stephen and David Bateman, Kevin Newton, and Clinton Johnson.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 22, 2014, at Wesley United Methodist Church with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Bill Higgerson, George Foster, Ted Pullen, Jim Wright, Jerry Hassler, and Jim Tindall.
