Roy A. Aikin, 93, of Van Buren, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 at his home. He was born Jan. 22, 1928 in Clarksville, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army and was the retired owner/operator of Roy's Texaco in Fort Smith. He loved his family, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Bailey; two sons, Lonnie Harrison and Roy Gene Aikin; and his parents, Charlie and Durell (Dorer) Aikin.
He is survived by his wife Thelma of the home; two daughters, Sharon Aikin of Van Buren, and Gail Stolz of Springdale; a son, Eddie Harrison of Van Buren; a sister, Bessie Crocker of New Braunfels, Texas; a brother, Pete Aikin of La Grange, Texas; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be John Ed Noe, Don Crocker, John Richard Noe, Nathan Frump, Taylor Bailey, Eric McCarty, and Brian Reichard.
The family will visit with friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
