GARFIELD - Ovie Lee Alice Gibson, 85, of Garfield died Jan. 19, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Dec. 12, 1921, to George Watson and Doonie Lucinda Henderson Moore in Ringland, Okla. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God in Rogers, she enjoyed canning, loved quilting and embroidery and she also collected salt and pepper shakers. She is preceded in death by one son, James Lawrence La Moore.
Survivors include her husband Thell Gibson of the home; two sons, Claude Ronald Corbin of Garfield and Gerald Wayne Corbin and wife Carmen of Bakersfield, Calif.; two sisters, Gladys Smith of Mounds, Okla., and Clydie Edelen of Garfield; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Rogers with Joseph Taylor officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, online at www.rollinsfuneral.com. Burial will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
