Georgia Walker was born on May 19, 1904 in Van Buren, Arkansas. Her parents were George and Daisy Manager, who preceded her in death. She was reared in the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs York Manager of Shilbley, Arkansas. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Fort Smith, Arkansas class of 1927. At the age of fifteen she was baptized by the Rev. J. N. Nance, pastor of the New Prospect Baptist Church. In 1928, the joined First Baptist Church in Ft. Smith under the pastorage of Rev. C. A. Bean. Georgia served in several capacities at First Baptist, including an usher, Deaconess and Financial secretary. In November, 1955 she married Jefferson Walker, who was a loving and faithful husband until his death in 1991.
