Sebastian County,
Arkansas

September 12, 1951 - December 21, 2020

Delores "Sissy" Gail Walker Richardson was called to enter her eternal rest on Monday afternoon, December 21, 2020. She was born September 12, 1951 to Dennis and Ozella "Babe" Mae Walker.

Delores accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized at the King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of the late Pastor Louis McGill. She was educated in the Fort Smith Public Schools and was a graduate of Northside High School Class of 1969. While at Northside, she auditioned and was accepted into the prestigious mixed chorus. She married James "Jimmy" Richardson and they were blessed with two children, Jay and Eboni.

Delores worked faithfully with the Fort Smith School District for thirty-two years before retiring in 2006. She was blessed with an angelic voice and was often called to minister in song throughout the community. In 2003, under the leadership of Pastor Alan Smith, she became an Ordained Minister. Her passion for ministering to women lead her to establish Diamonds Women's Ministry. This ministry was very dear to her heart and God allowed her to minister to women throughout the River Valley for several years. Later in life, she became a faithful member of the New Life Church of God in Christ. She was also an accomplished cook and baker in the area and she truly loved hosting family holiday dinners (her rolls and red velvet cake were legendary).

She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, James Walker, Jr.
