Debra “Debbie” Lucille Gilliland, a gentle and loving soul, passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on May 6, 1956, in Panama City, Panama, Debbie’s life was a quiet testament to the power of love, kindness, and the deep bonds of family.

Debbie was a reminder of the beauty of quiet strength. Reserved and thoughtful, she had a way of making those around her feel heard and valued. Her gentle presence was a source of comfort and peace to her family and friends.

Debbie married her beloved husband, Dale Gilliland, on February 25, 1979, in Damascus, AR. Their life together was a journey marked by love, respect, and a commitment to family. In their home, laughter and music were constants, and Debbie’s love for her family created countless cherished memories for her children and grandchildren.

Family was the foundation of Debbie’s life. She relished the time spent playing games, enjoying music, and creating lasting memories with her children and grandchildren. Her home was a sanctuary of joy and love, a place where visitors always felt welcomed and left with a sense of warmth. All who visited could leave with a smile and a full belly.

Predeceased by her mother, Patricia Murchison, and brother, Jay Murchison, Debbie’s memory will be treasured by her husband, Dale Gilliland; father, T.J. Murchison; brother, Michael Murchison; her children, John Gilliland, April Harris, Kevin Reynolds, and Jennifer Horvath; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.

Debbie’s life was a celebration of the joy that can be found in everyday moments and the importance of family. Her legacy is one of unconditional love and a testament to the enduring bonds of family. Her life reminds us of the power of listening, the beauty of quiet moments, and the importance of cherishing our loved ones.

A memorial in Debbie’s honor will be held at the Jacksonville Community Center, Banquet Room A, 5 Municipal Dr, Jacksonville, AR 72076, on February 20th, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
