November 24, 1900 - November 1, 1974
Mrs. Daisy M. Smith, 73, of Rt. 6, El Dorado, died Friday at her home following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Rumph Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 24, 1900 in Swartz, La., and was the daughter of Joe Toombs and Katie George. Survivors include her husband, J. L. Smith of El Dorado; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Vann of Buckner; one step son, Jerald L. Smith, Jr., of Luling, La.; one step daughter, Mrs. Jodie S. Smith of El Dorado; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will be at 904 W. Fourth St. (El Dorado News Times - Novemb er 2, 1974)
