Warner Mays Sr, 85, of Fort Smith died Sunday, April 24, 2005, in a local hospital. He was born June 12, 1919, in Jayess, Mississippi. He was a member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist, where he was trustee, a member of Men's Chorus, the June Calendar Club and laymen Brotherhood organization, the Shady Grove Lodge No. 28 and E. O. Trent Consistory No. 223.
Funeral was held on Saturday at Ninth Street Missionary Baptist Church with Masonic services by Shady Grove Lodge No. 28 at Washington Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, six daughters, three sons, a sister a brother, 27 grandchilddren and 34 great-grandchildren.

April 9, 1922 - August 4, 2010
Willie Mae Mays, 88, of Fort Smith entered into rest on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2010, at a local hospital.
She was born April 9, 1922, in Greenwood, Miss.
She was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker and the widow of the late Warner Mays Sr. Two of her sons, Johnnie B. and John W. Mays, preceded her in death.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Baptist Church with burial at Washington Cemetery under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by six daughters, Bridgetta Shepherd, Fannie Booker, Kathryn Mays, Pearlie Elam and Ida Spears, all of Fort Smith, and Callie Driver of Lawton, Okla.; two sons, Warner Mays Jr. and Danny Mays, both of Fort Smith; two daughters-in-law, Rita and Dorothy Mays; 27 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Mays, Ronnie Cravens, James Christian, John Hughes, Billy Hughes and Dill Hughes.
