Mrs. Bertha Elizabeth White, age 95, of Plano, Texas passed away May 2, 2008, in Plano. She was born April 26, 1913, in Huntington, Arkansas to Charles Wesley and Pricy Ann Walkup Evans.

On July 15, 1938, she married William Hoyle White in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Mrs. White was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ft. Smith Garden Club and the Ft. Smith Arts Center. She was also a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Ft. Smith for 54 years.

Her husband, W. Hoyle White preceded her in death.
A funeral service was held Monday, May 5, 2008, in the Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Interment was at Roselawn Cemetery.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William Wesley and Fran White of Shreveport, Louisiana; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Richard Lawson of N. Richland Hills, Texas and Gail and Jack "Buddy" Greenoe of Plano, Texas; granddaughters, Teresa Spencer of Oklahoma and Courtney Head and her husband, Joey of Dallas, Texas; grandsons, Evan Lawson of Ft. Worth, Texas and Wesley White of Connecticut; 3 great-grandchildren; and cousin Pauline McGlamery of Bessemer, Alabama.
