Irena M. Walrod, 95, of Fort Smith passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, in her home.
She was born in Lamar to Lester H. and Mittie Myrtle (Smith) Overby.
She had been the bookkeeper at Walrod's Plumbing and Heating Co. for 35 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert B. Walrod.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Mastin and her husband Darold of Arkoma, Elizabeth "Ann" Meeks and her husband John of Rowlett, Texas, and Martha "Janie" Murra and her husband Hal of White House, Tenn.; three sons, Albert Walrod and his wife Jan of Marshfield, Mo., Jerry Walrod and his wife Jan and Robert Walrod and his wife Kaye, all of Fort Smith; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Albert, Jerry, Robert and Patrick Walrod, Matt Friery and John Mastin.
