Dorothy Louise Watkins, 91, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in a local nursing home. She was born April 15, 1920 at St. Edward Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith to Victor Byrd and Renna Conner Wasson. She was the widow of Orville Watkins and assisted him for many years with their Insurance Agency, MFA which is now Shelter. She was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church where she retired as Music Ministry Administrative Secretary after twelve years of service.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra and husband Bob Bradford of Fort Smith, Cynthia and husband Joseph Meadow of College Park, Maryland, and Gloria Watkins of Fort Smith; one sister Pat Ladd of Tulsa, OK and one step sister, Linda Love of Cedar Falls, Iowa; step brother, Dr. Michael Linimon of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, David Bradford of Austin, TX, Gregory & wife Linda Bradford of Frisco, TX and Michael Meadow of College Park, Maryland; five great grandchildren, Bryan and Monica Bradford of Pflugerville, TX, Griffin Bradford of Austin, TX., Madeleine and Lillian Bradford of Frisco, TX; three nieces, Tana Weber of Tulsa, OK., Dana Kindred of Plano, TX., Kathy Holsey of Muskogee, OK., and one nephew Glenn Wyatt of Muskogee, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband Orville; parents Byrd and Renna Wasson; a loving step mother, Julia Kelly of Muskogee, OK., sister, Peggy Wyatt of Muskogee, OK; and two nephews Brad Wyatt of Muskogee, OK., and David Ladd of Fort Smith, AR.

Funeral service was held on Friday, October 21, 2011, at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were her grandsons: David and Greg Bradford, and Michael Meadow, Don Dodson, Frank Ward, and Glynn Stewart.
