Gail Carter Smith age 95, of Jackson, Tenn, formerly of Wilmar, AR died Monday, September 10th, 2018 at the Jackson-Madison Hospital in Jackson, Tenn. She was born August 24, 1923 in Bradley County, a daughter of the late Charles G. Carter and Elizie Blair Carter. She was owner and operator of George Smith Mobile Homes Inc, a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the widow of George Smith whom she married May 10th, 1941 and he died November 2nd , 1995. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Joseph Smith and Gary Lee Smith, a daughter Barbara Smith Lanphier, two brothers Norman Carter and Herbert Carter and a sister Lattrice Wagnon also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Charles Smith and spouse Teresa, Jackson, Tenn. 4 grandchildren, Greg Smith and spouse Kim, Jengi Rogers and spouse Jeff, Kari Stanley and spouse Rick, and Corey Austin. 2 step-grandchildren Lalania Vaughn and Matthew Goodman. 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was 10:00AM Wednesday, September 12th at Frazer's Chapel with Pastor Carter Pearce officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Greg Smith, Corey Austin, Nicholas Smith, Matthew Goodman, Rick Stanley, and David Covey.
