Lana Gail Mobbs passed from this earth to her forever home with Jesus on Dec. 28, 2023. Lana was born in Conway on Nov. 23, 1948, and lived in Greenbrier. She was born to Jaunita Merritt Mobbs and Junior B. Mobbs. She married Francis "Buddy" Troxell. They were married for 30 years and blessed with two sons, Francis "Buddy Jr." Troxell and Shane Troxell. The family enjoyed camping and hunting in Alaska where they lived for several years, and in many parts of the U.S. Lana is preceded in death by her parents and both her sons.
She is survived by her brother Jimmy Mobbs; sisters, Shelia Balentine (Floyd) and Paula Griggs (Charlie) of Houston, Texas; and sister, Lydia Vogan Carter (Johnny) of Conway.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Brad, Brent, Brian Balentine, David and John Blake, Crighton Griggs, Steve Mobbs of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Taylor Carter of Conway. A graveside service by Wilcox Funeral Home will be Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Thorn Cemetery, Greenbrier. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faulkner County Animal Shelter.
