Leon E. Taylor, 88, of Fort Smith, died January 20, 2010 in Fort Smith.
He was former owner/operator of T & F Office Supply, a member of Midland Heights United Methodist Church where he served as a member of the Board and the Pastor Parish Committee. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, member of Belle Point Lodge #20, Scottish Rite Bodies of Western Arkansas and the Van Buren York Rite Bodies, and a member of the Noon Lions Club.
He is survived by a daughter, Connie Wells and her husband Larry of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Jennifer Lowman, Stephanie Bird, and Shaun Wells; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Hilda Marie Moore Taylor and his parents, Walter David and Orbie Lucille Gibson Taylor.
Funeral service was Monday, January 25, 2010 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Roselawn Cemetery with a Masonic Graveside Service all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were John Settle, Mike Lyons, Ron Lawler, Eddie Barnard, Pat Wheeler and Shaun Wells.
Hilda
May 16, 1925 - July 17, 2007
Hilda Marie Moore was born 16 May 1925 in Fort Smith, Sebastian, Arkansas, United States. She was the daughter of Leonard "B" Moore (1900-1987) and Viola May Francis Moore (1904-1983). She had one brother, Leonard Wayne Moore (1928-1928). She married Leon Edwin Taylor (1921-2010) on 13 February 1943 in Fort Smith, Sebastian, Arkansas. They were the parents of one daughter, Connie Moore. Hilda was employed as an operator for Southwestern Bell. She passed away in Fort Smith, Arkansas on Tuesday 17 July 2007 and is buried in the Rose Lawn Park Cemetery. She was survived by her husband Leon E. Taylor and her daughter, Connie Wells and her husband Larry of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Jennifer Lowman, Stephanie Bird, and Shaun Wells.
