Ricky Joe Sturgeon, 63, of Fort Smith passed away Dec. 9, 2020. He was born May 25, 1957, to Shirley Bomer and Ray Sturgeon.
Rick was a salesman for Pittsburgh Paints and in the paint industry for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Brenda Bonds of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Theresa Sturgeon; two sons, Ricky Sturgeon and wife Megan of Farmington and Nickolas Sturgeon of Fort Smith; a daughter, Mindy Griffin and husband Shawn of Bentonville; three sisters, Patty Muniz and husband Trinidad and Tina Pitts and husband Eddie, both of Palestine, Texas, and Betty Kuykendall and husband Shannon of Van Buren; a brother, Robert Sturgeon and wife Janie of Branson, Mo.; a sister in-law, Cathy Hester and husband Joe of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Cameron and Andrew Sturgeon and Jaiden and Addison Griffin; several nephews and nieces; and his loving friends and co-workers who will miss him dearly.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.
