Jaime Christine Shipman, 31, of Mountainburg passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011, in Mountainburg.
She was born Sept. 5, 1979, in Hermiston, Ore.

She was a homemaker, an employee of Catfish Hole and a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Maumelle and attended Mountainburg Assembly of God.
She was a 1998 graduate of Alma High School.

Survivors include her husband, Waid Shipman of Van Buren; her parents, Jim and Shirley Wadkins of Alma; a daughter, Jewell Shipman of the home; three sons, Jude, Jesse and Jager Shipman, all of the home; a sister, Shirley ZumBrunnen of Little Rock; and two brothers, Jack Wadkins of Denver and Jim Wadkins of Alma.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jude and Jesse Shipman, Jack and Jim Wadkins, Jamie Shipman, Jason ZumBrunnen, Jim Langdon and Adam Hertel.

* ATV Accident Claims Couple

A Crawford County couple were killed when the ATV they were riding went off a Mountainburg bluff Saturday.

Richard Hammond and Jamie Shipman, 32, were both killed when the ATV Hammond was driving on his private property in Mountainburg went off a bluff at around 6 a.m. Saturday, according to Chief Deputy Jimmy Damante of the Crawford County Sheriff's Office.

"We don't know if it was because he couldn't see," Damante said. "It appears he came to the edge and tried to stop when he realized (there was a bluff), but it was too late and he went off the edge."

The bluff Hammond and Shipman fell from is 7 to 8 feet high. Their bodies were discovered 12 hours later at around 6 p.m. by Hammond's mother, Damante said.

Hammond, who was in his 30s and is survived by a daughter, and Shipman, who is survived by four children, had been dating for a couple of months, according to Damante.
