Loraine Powell Atkins, age 80, of Emmet, Arkansas, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Atkins was born May 31, 1937 in Hemptead County, Arkansas.
She was retired from Martin’s and was a member of the Southside Missionary Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Atkins.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Mike and Melissa Atkins of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Ronnie Atkins of Emmet, Arkansas and Mark Atkins of Emmet, Arkansas; two sisters, Nella Bobo of Hope, Arkansas and Vinnie Holt of Hope, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Brandi Byerly and Micalah Atkins; one great grandchild, Bryson Byerly and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Jones and Rev. Ernie Sorrells officiating. Burial will be in Betts Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M.
