Dud D. Owens, 88 of Bono, passed away April 8, 2023, in the St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born August 11, 1934, in Walnut Ridge, son of the late Earl and Frances Darr Owens. Dud was united in marriage to Jennie Alls on December 26, 1952. He was a Truck Driver and enjoyed making things with carpentry. He was an active member and Elder at the Bono Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Katherine Carr.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jennie; three sons, Stan (Gail) of Jonesboro, John (Angie) of Bono and Allan (Judi) of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be Monday, April 10, 2023 at 2 P.M. in the Strangers Home Cemetery with Michael Owens officiating.

Jennie Lea Owens, 90 of Bono, died November 23, 2023, in the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.

Born October 16, 1933, in Lynn; daughter of the late Willie Benjamin and Mable Wrather Alls. She was united in marriage to Dudley “Dud” Owens on December 26, 1952. She was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. She enjoyed bowling, working on puzzles and doing crosswords. She was of the Church of Christ faith.

She is preceded by her parents; her husband, Dud; and eleven siblings.

Survivors include her three sons, Stan (Gail) Owens of Jonesboro, John (Angie) Owens of Bono, and Allan (Judi) Owens of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and Carl Alls; and two sisters, Opha Arnold, and Lois Fitzwater.

Graveside services will be Monday, November 27, 2023, at 12 P.M. in the Strangers Home Cemetery in Alicia with Micheal Owens officiating.
