Norma Jean Austin was born in Hot Springs on December 26, 1922 to Floyd Leroy & Clara Alva (Cash) Hurst, and passed away on April 10, 2012 in San Antonio, TX. She was the owner/operator of Jean’s Thrift Shop on Hackberry St. for 45 years and a member of MacArthur Church of God.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lee Thomas Austin; her parents; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. Surviving are her daughters, Pamela Austin Tole and husband, Robert, Patti Rivera; grandchildren, Stephanie Zuniga & husband, Efrem, Rob Tole, Ashley Carlson, Kelley Smith, Alyssa Rivera; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Hollie and Christian Tole, Ava Carlson.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. To leave expressions of sympathy for the family, to www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
