Mrs. Thelma M. Roberts, 92, of Fort Smith, AR went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 16, 2010 in Van Buren.

She was the widow of Dr. M. M. Roberts, longtime dentist of Fort Smith. She and her "sweetie" were avid birdwatchers and members of the Audubon Society. Their favorite pastime was exploring the beauty of White Rock Mountain in their old jeep.

Thelma was a member of Evangel Temple Church in Fort Smith and attended there for over forty years.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Bart and Vesta Satterfield, and her brother Jim Frank Satterfield.


Funeral service was at 2:00 pm Monday, July 19, in Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Roselawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

She is survived by a daughter Elaine Roberts of Las Cruces, NM, a son Steve Roberts of Irving, TX, a sister Annette Medlock of Van Buren, a brother Bob Satterfield of Mulberry, AR, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Marty Belcher, Jeff Hight, Kerry Satterfield, Keith Satterfield, Duane White, and Chris Field.
