Opal Demmelmaier, 95, of Springdale died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Springdale. She was born July 6, 1911, in Lead Hill to William Thomas and Mattie Wilmoth Austin.
She worked for Jim Cash Jewelry and Wal-Mart for 19 years. She was a member of Silent Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Parvin (P.H.) Demmelmaier, in 1965.
Survivors include one son, Darrell Demmelmaier and wife Joyce of Lake Village; one daughter, Brenda Ball and husband Milton of Springdale; one brother, Woodrow Austin of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Edith Penn of Alta Loma, Calif.; three grandchildren, Denise Pless and husband Rodney, Belinda Ball and Brett Demmelmaier and wife Jamie; eight great-grandchildren, Meagan, Corey, Marisa, Erica, Darrian, Payton, Jade and Gabe.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 9 at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. James Criswell and the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Pless, Corey Pless, Darrian Menifee, Daniel Walters, David Mustain and Gary Mustain.
