Manuel Ray born July 7, 1946, a lifelong Fort Smith resident went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2018 peacefully surrounded by his family. Manuel started his career at Whirlpool Corp and 41 years later retired there. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Ray and one son George Allen Ray. He is survived by his three children in his own words his greatest achievement, two daughters; Melissa Cameron of Dallas, TX Janet Ray of Fort Smith, one son Randy Ray of Greenwood, one sister Sandy Shores of Fort Smith, and three grandchildren; Tyler and Kaylee Ray, and Emily Nelson all of Booneville. Graveside Service officiated by Pastor Corey Marquis will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Randy Ray, Michael Shores, Allen Ray, and Ryan Duncan. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements under direction of Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith.

Jean Ray of Fort Smith(Sebastian County), Arkansas died Sunday, March 23(Easter Sunday), 2008 in Fort Smith. She was 64 years old. She was the daughter of the late Earnest and Violet Moore.
Jean was a retired employee of the Whirlpoo Corporation and she attended Glad Tidings Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; a son: George Allen Ray; a sister: Faye O'Bar; four brothers: Floyd Earl, Jesse, and Earnest Franklin Moore.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years: Manuel Ray of the home; two daughters: Janet Ray of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Melissa Cameron of Dallas, Texas; one son: Randy Ray of Greenwood, Arkansas; two sisters: Ruth Moore of Fort Smith, ARkansas and Gladys Moore of Van Buren, Arkansas; four brothers: Murel Moore of Lavaca, Arkansas, Ivan and Milard Moore of Mountainburg, Arkansas and James Moore of Van Buren, Arkansas; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27, 2008, at 10:00a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were: Michael Shores, Raymond, Nathan, and Jimmy Moore, Corey Marquis and Gary Needham.
Honorary pallbearers were: Terry Moore, Billy Ream and Luther White.
