Billy Dale Nipper, 78 of Van Buren passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in his home.

He was a fiber optic cable installer for Slagles in San Antonio and an Army Veteran in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Lynch) Nipper, three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by five sons Andy Nipper and wife Rachel of Van Buren, Donald Williams and wife Kmel of San Antonio, Texas, Andrew Jackson of Abilene, Texas, Timothy Jackson and Brian Jackson both of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter Cynthia Zumwalt; three sisters Peggy Martin of Fort Smith, Linda Miley of Nashville, Tennessee and Carolyn Pauley of San Antonio, Texas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 1PM Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Andy Nipper, Zachary Nipper, Logan Nipper, Keith Zimmerman, Chuck Martin, Corey Guadagno and Joe Martin.

Helen
February 26, 1941 - September 23, 2009

Helen Nipper "Champion", 68 of Van Buren, Arkansas died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in a local hospital.

She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Faith.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Nipper of the home; three daughters, JoeAnna Turner of Van Buren, Mary Ann Ruppel of Kansas City, KS and Lilly Skelton of Rudy, AR; one son, Audie Champion of Tulsa, OK; one step-son Andy Nipper of Lavaca, AR; one brother, Raymond Lear of Van Buren; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Brandon Champion, David Ferguson, Billy Turner, John Turner, Billy Ketchum and Andy Nipper.

Funeral services were held at New Hope Pentecostal Church with Reverend Sandy Yarbrough
and Reverend Edward Head officiating.
