April 9, 1917 - January 17, 2009
Englebert John Neihouse, 91, passed away peacefully at his home in Valrico, Florida on January 17, 2009.
He was born in Shoal Creek, Arkansas and lived most of his life in Fort Smith.
John was a retired letter carrier and was a veteran of WWII. He was member of NALC Branch, the American Legion Posts #31 of Fort Smith, and #379 of Bedford Texas for many years.
A memorial service was held Monday, February 16, 2009 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife Shirley, of the home; a son, James Neihouse of Wright City, Missouri; two daughters, Vera Douthitt of Hallsville, Missouri and Peggy Shipley of Cookson, Oklahoma; two step-daughters, Kathy Vairo of Southbridge, Massachusetts, and Melisa Hennessee of Ft. Worth, Texas. John also leaves ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents Herman Neihouse and Annie Werner and his six brothers and three sisters.
